Music is the glue that helped Wyvern Lingo stick together. They originally bonded over hand-me-down albums of Led Zeppelin, Joni Mitchell and Simon & Garfunkel along with the R’n’B of the 90s/00s that then dominated the radio. Their music stitches together

this tapestry of influences, all united by their chilling vocal harmonies. Wyvern Lingo bring their stories together on their self-titled debut album. They say - “We were trying to find a title that would capture a glimpse into our world, what better way than to self- title the album. This is us. ”

Their debut album went to number 1 on the Independent Irish Charts, and the Irish itunes charts and has been chosen as one of the Top 10 albums of 2018 according to the Irish Times and Hot Press. They have spent the best part of 2018 touring all over Ireland, the UK, Germany and the Netherlands. Highlights of the festival season include incredible performances at The Great Escape, Reading & Leeds (UK) Electric Picnic (IE), The Reeperbahn (DE) and supporting the legendary Grace Jones at Trinity College, Dublin.

“It adds up to an album as narratively deep as it is musically chunky. How often does a new artist surface with a collection of tracks that would sound comfortable on a throwback cassette tape mix while still sounding fresh-to-death?” The Irish Times

“It’s evident, from the way in which the band communicate with each-other on stage, that they have been playing together for years. They seem to be so in tune with one another that they’re capable of predicting each-others’ next move without a side-wards glance.” Goldenplec

“It's this ultra modern sensibility which informs this easy to love debut album.” Hot Press

Peggy Seeger is a totally unique artist who has carved a special place in the folk revival of both the UK and the USA. Now in her mid-80s, her light burns as brightly as ever, still touring her legendary live performances that might include an unaccompanied traditional ballad, followed by an anecdote from her remarkable life, before launching into a topical song about drugs, war, hormones, politicians, unions, women, love or ecology. A multi-instrumentalist (piano, guitar, 5-string banjo, autoharp,English concertina and Appalachian dulcimer), she is lauded for her feminist and political songs.
She has made 25 solo recordings and participated in over a hundred more. Her 2021 album ‘First Farewell’ is a collection of 11 new songs written and recorded with family members. As Ewan Mac Coll’s partner and muse, she was the inspiration for Mac Coll’s classic ‘The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face’ (the title of her much-praised recent memoir) yet this is a woman who has consistently followed her own path with passion and vigour.
