What a gig to kick off our Galway 2020 - European Capital of Culture Programme!
Jenny Greene has been at the forefront of the Irish Dance music scene for almost 20 years. Starting out at the age of 17 as a dance music columnist, radio presenter and DJ. At the age of 21 she earned herself a spot in the Guinness Book Of Records breaking the record for the World’s Longest DJ set. Her Saturday night dance show ‘Electric Disco’ on RTÉ 2FM has been a mainstay for Irish Clubbers for the past 12 years, leading to an album release back in 2009.
Jenny regularly performs to sell out crowds at both arenas and festivals with the RTÉ Concert Orchestra. Her DJ sets and style have evolved over the years and she now forms part of an in demand DJ duo playing B2B shows with fellow Irish DJ Al Gibbs. Friends from the infamous pirate radio station Pulse FM, for the last 20 years, this dynamic duo teamed up for a special NYE B2B gig at Dublin’s Button Factory in 2018. After a sellout show, the demand for the duo increased. Following a nationwide tour in 2019 the pair have been busy in the studio for the last few months with an EP scheduled for release in early 2020.
