Having begun with a string of ethereal bedroom-style DIY EP's and singles, My Tribe Your Tribe's sound developed into the more expansive, electro-tinged Alt-Electro productions heard on singles, 'Will to Survive', 'Only a Horizon', 'Ghost with You' and 'Loyalites', a three-track EP, released in May 2016.

Mercer recently finished recording a full-length album since early 2016 which is due for release in 208

Nialler9 - Irish Times New Irish Music:
''George Mercer and Tod Doyle's electronic pop project has released a few singles over the last year or so, with none of them quite sticking as well as new track Will To Survive. The song's yearning chorus is matched by the duo's most focused arrangement of synths and low-end yet''

The Thin Air - '' My Tribe Your Tribe really caught our attention back in February with the dreamy, subtly cascading alt-electro of ‘Only a Horizon’.
Going several steps further, their new single, ‘Will To Survive’, was obviously written with those imminent summer festival sets in mind. Danceable in all the right places, it looks both inward and outward, evoking the vocals of Ben Gibbard, and a musical marriage between Caribou and early Arcade Fire''

The Last Mixed Tape - "Sitting on a bed of beautifully-realized production, ‘Ghost With You’ is what My Tribe Your Tribe have been moving towards all their career, THIS is their sound, who they are as a band, their music"

Dublin Concerts - "Given the impressive musical catalogue that My Tribe Your Tribe have displayed, this year alone, it’s clear that their exciting combination of electro-synth and psychedelic qualities work. Their reoccurring appearances and considering how well received their latest three singles have been, it’s fair to say that is the sort of garage fuelled, angst-filled sound that fans want more of, and they want it now.
